Laundry Stripping
As a Virgo... this pleases me greatly. I love things to be clean and tidy - and quite frankly - this season we are in is creating a lot of unwelcome mess around my house.
So, I started looking a new ideas on cleaning and seems like Laundry Stripping is ALL the rage right now! So, I took my hand at it - and well, below are the pictures to show you what it ended up looking like! GROSS RIGHT?
However, I'm so thrilled - I am here to report - that my once stinky workout clothes (you know, the smell that just WON'T GO AWAY) is now gone, gone, gone! So... it works - and honestly - you can go do a million other things while you wait!
Below is how I modified the original recipe (thank you @gocleanco) for the inspiration!
Fill Tub or Large Bin with HOT Water (like Scalding HOT)
- 1/4 cup Borax
- 1/4 cup Baking Soda
- Cap full of doTerra OnGuard Laundry Detergent
- 5 - 10 drops each (Lemon essential oil and Purify essential oil)
Let sit for 4 hours + Stir occasional
(drink some water, you know you have to do something ;))
Wring out your clothes and transport to the washing machine - place on Rinse cycle and dry
In the dryer I use Lavender + Purify on my dryer balls
and Voila! Your Date with Laundry Stripping is complete
